More neighborly visits.

Ive had yet another enlightening visit from one of my elderly neighbors. Im not sure if I ever wrote about the first one..but..heres a recap:
About a month into living at my new place, my 80 something year old neighbor paid me a visit. To make a long story short..shes very very catholic and informed me that my boyfriend and I were living in sin. She said that there is going to be a coming chastisement of mankind where three days of darkness lays over the world and all of the sinners will be destroyed. Starting with hollywood because of all the homosexuality and sinfulness. Apparently she knows nothing of ladyboys of Thailand. She said her husband dropped dead of a heart attack while he was mowing the lawn. She also said that her last words to him were..”if you mow that lawn..ill go ahead and plan you a nice funeral.”
Well, she came back. This time she was armed with propaganda. For some odd reason she thought I was going to let her some into my house. If she came into my house..shed have a heart attack upon arrival. I have the Hinduest house youve ever seen. My house is more Hindu than Thaipussam. I nearly knocked her off the porch trying to get outside without letting her in, and trying to fend off my cat from trying to sneak his way outside. Shed see the 10+ images and idols of multiple arms Gods that line my walls, scream “Satan!” clutch her chest, and die. Right there in my living room. So, I dont invite her in. I dont care to invite her in. She does not respect my beliefs and quite frankly, I dont want to subject my faith to her hate filled remarks. And, frankly, if her God is anything like her..then I prefer to roast in the bowels of hell.
Anyhow, during her most recent visit she asked if I told my “fella” what she said. I told her, yes I did but I dont think he cares anything about Catholicism and the coming chastisement. She then told me, in the sweetest old lady way possible, that hell just have to “roast in hell” then. I then proceeded to laugh in her face. She had successfully become the most metal person id ever met. Anyway, I told her I respected her beliefs..but I am Hindu. I have been Hindu for the past 6 or 7 years. She told me that “Hinduism aint gonna do anything for me.” And I told her just what I told you guys…
If her God is anything like she is, then I prefer to roast in hell. Then I turned, and walked away.
I really, really would hate to be downright disrespectful to this woman. She is going to die soon. I would hate to know that some old persons last memories included me..being rude to them. I would hate to know that upon someones death bed they thought about how lonely they were, and how they just wanted someone to talk to but were met with disrespect and meanness. So, I listen to everything I can listen to, I assure her that I respect her beliefs, but I have my own..and I kindly walk away. I feel that is the right thing to do.
Ugh. Ok. Updated “Whats in my bag” coming soon..
